Starting with the photo 'Into the Mountains' I'm doing a series depicting a typical Sunday trip of mine. A trip which might start with a conversation in a pub, whereby a local might tell me of an interesting place he knows of, or a place I find on Google Earth which looks interesting.
I live in the country about 40km's south of Johannesburg, and by luck it is a very interesting place with regards to History and folklore. Our total district is very large in square kilometers, so I could sniff around for many a year to come and still not have covered all the places I wish to.
So bear with me as I take you on this first journey of many, to try and find the Old Stone Tannery.
